This was a image I shot years ago on a road trip from Portland with good friend Skip as here shared his vast knowledge about the area and life in general, It was a magical road trip. We visited so many I really can't remember where it was other than on the coast somewhere between Portland and Crescent City. The problem with shooting while traveling is most of the time you are on a time budget and you don't always have the most desired light. That was true here so we improvised, If I had shot a wide scene it would have reflected the harsh mid-day sun, so I shot tight on everything when I found something I wanted to capture.

This image just says opposes to me or Yin and Yang I feel maybe even better since it has a eastern feel to it. The smoothness of the round rocks and the lines of the feathers, the black of the rocks and the white of the feather.The small bit of water reflection ties it all together.
